Sweet cherry is a garden fruit with smooth skin, juicy flesh and a stone inside. Depending on the cultivar the fruit may be yellow, pink, red or nearly black.

Sweet cherries have a sweet flavour with a light tart note. They are eaten fresh, added to desserts and baking, cooked into jam and drinks, and used in sauces.
